well I somehow got the number of Additional CEO Clifton Karachi-33 commons.. I called him yesterday and here are my findings, he said:

* In a cantonment there are two css officers one is CEO and the other is
additional CEO(i didnt asked abt MEOs)
* Its an executive job not clerical like in IRS
* If i was to recommend i will say everyone to place it on number 3 on priority
* Facilities wise its number 1 grp.
* Right now im living in one kanal bungalow in defence, using imported suzuki
swift, can avail upto 10 servants.
* Slow promotion perception is not all that true...as compared to some grps
its a bit slow but establishment has revised the structure now.
* No military interference
* He was in IRS before then he took css exam again n opted for this group

* Pay package is same for all grps...its not much
* There is no hard n fast rule for postings..but at minimum postings are done
after 1 yr.

All true. Number of CSS officers depends on the size of the cantonment. As Clifton Cantonment is a big cantonment, its a 19 grade post so there is a post of additional CEO as well. Additional CEO is a 18 grade officer(In some cases even senior 17 grade). Anyway same thing I've been saying since ages that after DMG, PSP and FSP, it's the best group one can possibly opt for, in fact considering some of it's positives one can place it even at second or third place as well. Facilities wise without a doubt it is superior than DMG, FSP and PSP.

I dont know why but i have this feeling that you are gonna end up in the same group as ours i.e. MLCG... (which i would definitely congratulate you for) but it seems k kisi MLCG walay ne aap ki bakri chura li ho ge tabhi to aap hum se naraz hain... but I love you man

yar jo log MLCG k against hain un say meri request hai k mujhay yeh bata dain agar yeh itna he bura group hai to "y people from IRS and accounts come for deputation in MLCG n then get absorbed?..meri naqas aqal main deputation bunda achi post k liye laita hai..comment please

Hate is a strong word. N i have nothing against mlcg.

I just dislike those who paint rosy pictures n spread wrong info regardning any css occupational group.

The csps on this forum are role model for juniors. It doesn't suit them to indulge in useless arguments and/or disrespect other csps or occupational groups. Secondly, what message is being conveyed in this thread??? ok let me tell you...

• suck the blood of taxpayers of this poor n unfortunate country

• to hell with values, recognition, devotion, hardwork, respect, honesty,loyalty n promotions... just look for car, malee, bangla, n dream about contacts with army officers for serving personal interests

• misguiding juniors to place an underrated, unsought and 'thigar' group in top 4

• instilling a wrong sense of superiority based on lies and rubbish

• slandering other groups/officers for nothing

• indulging in false self praise

• n cracking senseless stupid jokes

I think Pakistan needs honest, devoted and hardworking officers...not mindless self indulgent blood sucking leeches.

You guys are having a mindless squabble over MLCG.
My advice: Knock yourselves out!

Truth is that out of all the people i've met (and i've met a lot of people), no one chose MLCG in their list of top 5 preferences.
Aspirants tend to opt for PSP, DMG, FSP, IRS and Customs with no MLCG in sight.
Being a CSS aspirant myself (appearing in 2011), i was advised against opting for MLCG. Also, being a US permanent resident, i didn't opt for FSP either (since "meinay bahar nai jana. Bahar jana hoga toh ticket katwa loon ga aur seedha amreeka" ). I was looking for a replacement for number 7 preference and apparently, MLCG won't make the cut for me this time.

Anyways, here's an ice pack for both of you (floydian and mossavir), let the fires keep burning in that icy cold tundra of this epic forum 'squabble')
