One more thing. Induction in this group was ceased by Musharraf for 8 years, which resulted in shortage of officers. I remember, back in 2002 or 2003 M.E.O Abbottabad was controlling FOUR POSTS simultaneously.

CEO Kalabagh.....at the same time. We went to his MEO residence to meet him and i saw five official vehicles parked there. LOL. Obviously he was going bonkers because of the burden of the work but being BUSY is good, isn't it. HAHA...!!

This thing is called Dual Charge which is quite common in MLCG. Obviously with the passage of time this phenomenal opportunity would be no more.

why did he close induction in this group ? was he interested this post to give to military men ?

Because of immense amount of CORRUPTION. In late 90's and early 2000's MLCG became BADNAAM-E-ZAMANA just like police and customs. lol. To be honest one can make quite hell of a money illegally in this department.

Yes, he was interested like anything to post army men on different stations all over Pakistan and he did post quite a number of majors and colonels but soon this thing was rejected by the Establishment.

Just to add here, DMG officers are posted as DDO revenue of a small area of city. There are several DDOs working parallel to him. However, as far as CEO is concerned, our 17th grade officer commands the area of DMG's or PSPs 18th or 19th grade officer. and we dont have just the revenue but we have even more powers than DCO. Beside, we dont have to make politicians happy to get a posting and army is always there to make us a combo of civil and military bureaucracy.

The only thing in which DMG officers are better than us is promotion and being federal secretary but we dont mind that because when you are in your late 50s, you need to rest and enjoy the terminal service and I wouldn't like to work like a donkey at that stage even they give me designation of Federal secretary. SO we are happy
No night patrol of police but contact with agencies. No need to be a politicians' sycophant but enjoying power more than DMG. I personally hate corruption but for those who want to go to hell, more money than you can mint in any dept. (yes more than customs.. and who get posting at ports in customs by the way :P ) Full afsari life style.. not like IRS people sitting in a cabin wearing a tie and going crazy due to work load.
All the facilities of army like clubs, messes, and even plots.
Now basically MLC has the facilities of ICS officers (present DMG is no match for that) in a setting of army. Like Civil services k mazay aur army k sashkay
And for you brother Mossavir.. remember that i told you that i had fallen in love... well the ONE is none but MLC..
In fact, i dont feel like working for next attempt cuz i dont find any group better than this

I would like to share some of my feelings, opinions and suggestions with you guys. You know for me this whole thing (Group Selection) is very very serious. One needs to be 100 % sure while saying something about a department, service, subject...everything. I have seen a very senior CSP (FSP, 28th Common) exaggerating while stating the positives of Foreign Service. My brother is in FSP (34th Common), my first cousin is in FSP(28th Common). I know each and everything detail regarding FSP and i totally acknowledge the fact that FSP is a supreme service. You're treated like a real diplomat when you're abroad plus the benefits and all. But that senior CSP portrayed an extremely shiny picture of FSP and totally DEGRADED the other departments like DMG PSP etc. If you ask me, being a Civil Servant itself is a great opportunity as well as a solid responsibility irrespective of the fact whether you're in PSP, DMG, MLCG, POSTAL, FSP or any other group.

My point is that one should tell the real actually existent stuff about a particular job, one should avoid exaggeration because by doing so you're MISGUIDING people in some way or the other. Whatever i stated about MLCG is a PLAIN FACT, but at the same time it's my responsibility to do a RATIONAL COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS and try not to ignore the negative points of MLCG or positives of any other departments.

Some people are ranking MLCG above DMG or PSP, basically it really depends on one's own choice but my personal view is...overall DMG should be ranked above MLCG.

If you consider things overall(including EVERYTHING) then my personal choice is...

1. DMG
2. MLCG
3. PSP
4. FSP

But if you consider the facilities ONLY then without a doubt MLCG is far far far more superior than any other department.

At the end of the day it really depends on one's own choice. I have also seen many people going absolutely bonkers to go for PSP, because they have a passion for it, no matter how hard or difficult the job may get they will feel pride while doing the job of a ASP. I hope you guys got what i wanted to convey.

zaidi brother things may have changed regarding STP. tabhi tou keh raha houn kuch pata nahi chalta. The thing is if I'm not sure about anything i simply say it openly. Till 2000 i heard and saw the exact procedure of STP which i stated in my earlier post. But you never know, after the induction restarted Establishment may have thought to start PROPER stp of MLCG. but brother it should not bother you at all. You're in MLCG man, enjoy life. STP or no STP kya fark parta hai. Golf tou aap ne akhir kaar khelni hi khelni hai.

Asslamoa alikum! dear sir i was mostly confused about the Halaal rozy. and u have removed my problems that one can get halaal salary. i.e . no Rishwat, Interest and safarish or political pressure chakkar.

morevover what i should say when The Panel would ask why i opted MLCG? plz tell me some answers by visualizing and remembering the questions which were asked by the Interview panel from you. thakx.

Brother It is really a matter of happiness for me that you want to earn by lawful means. after all this life is too short to be a savage and disobedient creature of Lord.
But let me tell you that it is never mandatory to be a part of corruption in any deptt. not even in Police. My dad is a PSP and i know that if you are not interested in earning unlawful, no one will make to do that. In fact people respect you even behind your back for being honest and your officers and subordinates fear you because you are not for sale..
go for any deptt. you like and ear lawful.
Why I am happy about MLC is because why do some people do corruption (save those whose hearts are marked will black and will always do corruption no matter if they are rich) is just to buy a car if they are not provided with one by govt., to rent or buy a house if they are not provided with an official one, to hire servant to help at home... for the above reasons most people do corruption but in MLC you get all this by govt.
All the best for your endeavors and please stick to your ideology no matter how big opportunity pops up to do corruption.
