i just went through your posts. let me tell you something, i consider appropriate. mlcg is a very good group. you'll be like former deputy commissioner of the cantt and your powers are the same as was of D.C in districts. you'll have a big house, many servants and a vehicle, what else one wants. so for promotions are concerned, i think they are better now.last year only four ppl got mlcg after some break because mlcg had been discontinued for some years. now you ppl dont have seniors of mlcg ahead. also if one reaches to grade 20 or 21 i think its more than enough particularly after enjoying facilities right from grade 17. i think one should go for it.... why one needs job? just to have a recognition in society, better education for kids and facilities and earning as well. in mlcg all these things are satisfied right from the begining...... grade is not the only thing, facilities do matter equally....

I have fallen in love with my group. in fact i am really really happy to be allocated in MLCG. I'll only leave my group if i get either DMG or PSP, otherwise I think MLCG is FAAAAR batter than rest. PSP i am saying because i have a passion for it otherwise i would never do that.
Almost everyone of us does CSS for two things.
i) Facilities (this group has most, even more than DMG, in fact far more than DMG)
ii) Afsari (I think MLCG is better than all groups in this aspect too. even as a 17th grade officer, you are the top most in your office. there is no one above you in office. you office is like a DCO's or Accountant General's office and you are DCO or AG in it. No political pressure at all. dealing with army people who are actually running the country and even dealing with the top brass of army. no sifarish needed to get good posts. you can live in Halal money all your life. the positives are too many and some have already been discussed in thread)

is it possible that the officers ,in mlcg, of 17th and 18th grade can get posting in stations like lahore,karachi,pindi,peshawar,quetta...

Oh yes why not. depending on the cantt. for example, the Manora cantt. of Karachi is a 17th grade cantt. similarly there are many cantt. in big cities so one may get posted there.
