e.g.
at 17 etc upto grade 21

can an OMG officer be posted as a DCO somewhere..?? have ever an OMG officer posted as an ambassador to any country..?? why dont we have an OMG BPS 22 officer as an FBR chairman.. Why these posts mainly get to DMG officers..??

Yes OMG officers have been posted as DCOs in district. When we went to the country study tour during our CTP in 2010, there were 5 DCOs who were OMGians...OMG officers enjoy a lot of horizontal mobility as they get posted in many autonomous bodies, authorities and departments. As far as appointment of and OMG/ Secretariat Group officer as Chairman FBR is concerned, Grade 21/22 are selection posts and Prime Minister has the right to appoint anyone irrespective of his service/ cadre. Of course DMG gets the lions share in important postings as they previously serve in the districts where they develop close ties with the politicians/ local MNAs
