Having served in NAB and now being exposed to ins n outs of OMG..i would personally prefer NAB..It has better nuisance value, pay, perks and authority. In OMG you'll struggle for accommodation, vehicle, authority and identity. In NAB you'll get a potohar jeep but no official accommodation. But faster promotions and being a CSS group makes OMG attractive too. Survival is too difficult if your spouse is sitting at home.

My father was allocated in PAAS in late 1980s but he never joined. Instead gave test of FIA and joined as Assistant Director with Pakistan Merit No. 1. In hindsight, he says it was a bad decision (even though he is at a very senior post now). Do keep in mind that NAB does not even comes close to FIA in terms of authority or nuisance.

If you can manage deputation from OMG, then there is nothing better than it. Your friends will still be stuck as AD NAB, while in 3 years you can become their senior as DD NAB.

i think as u qualified css u must go for a css cadre job,bt u should go for NAB test just for experience n other hand join csa n wait either the result is announced by nab & recruitment is pure on merit or not.

omg , because not only money or perks matter counts when it comes to one;s mind being a csp officer is a big achievement in one;s life so i will say omg is better than ad nab.

Post Nab is better
If you want tehka and power then Nab is better. But if you want slow & steady career growth and if you are financial and politically strong to survive in the harsh environment of Islamabad, where you have to serve as a Section Officer for the most of your youth then OMG is better. Believe me, there is nothing in OMG except that you a part of CSP fraternity. I have seen the miseries of OMG officers so I personally like NAB. I served in civil secretariat so I have seen everything with my own eyes and I have the first hand experience of these issues.
Still the choice is yours.

As far as I learned Short term goals argue for AD FIA then AD NAB. Long term goals OMG, you can be secretary.

OMG just give u a csp mind set n ur social circle increases n contatcts build rapidly & nab is authoritative job,As OMG to live in islamabad without accomodation is still a big question for u with a limited salary n high living expenses.
