What is the status of PAS and Devolution Plan?

I have been scratching my head for many days and looked over the internet to find the current scenario of PAS in the light of devolution. After the implementation of 2001 plan, many people though that PAS (DMG then) was affected. But I want to know what is the current scenario of PAS and devolution plan? Please seniors from PAS, your guidance is needed.

1. Have ACs and DCs been restored? If yes, in which areas/provinces specifically?

2. If restored, do they enjoy the same privileges/powers as they did before 2001? Revenue, Magistrate and others?

3. What a Nazim can do and what he can't do?

ACs and DCs are restored everywhere.

Nazim or local govt have different status in different provinces. In KP, Nazim is head of the district. This system resembles that of 2001. In rest of the provinces, LG has their own jurisdiction regarding municipal services while DCs and ACs have their own

That means PAS isn't as attractive as it was before 2001 devolution. Although, it is striving to get the same grace and authority, but might take time?

PAS is attractive for majority of the aspirants of CSS. It depends on what is your criterion of attraction.

Pre 2001 was a different time. Dynamics of of all services change with time everywhere in the world.

PAS is not striving for grace. IT ALREADY HAS ALOT OF GRACE AND PRESTIGE ATTACHED WITH IT. Majority of the candidates choose PAS because of its prestige and grace which is perhaps the highest in CSP cadre.

PAS has alot of authority.

PAS does not have the same authority that it once had. Also many PAS AC's face alot of problems in field service in absence of executive magistracy (read newspapers and you will come to know about these issues what field officers face). There is also PCS vs PAS issue and in some provinces now PCs is alos strong.
