Can anyone kindly enlighten me about ranks of District Management Group from Grade 17 to Grade 22. What procedure takes place once a candidate successfully passes the exam and interview:does he have to train in CSS Academy?

The ranks of DMG are :-

BPS- 17. Under Training :- D.D.O U.T
BPS-17: A.C.O
BPS-18: D.C.O in field and Deputy Sect. in Provincial Sectt and S.O in Federal Sectt.
BPS-19: D.C.O in field and Additional Secretary in Provincial Sectt. and Deputy Sect. in Federal Sectt.
BPS-20: D.C.O in field and Secretary in Provincial Sectt and Joint Secretary in Federal Sectt.
BPS-21. Secretary/Additional Chief Sect. in Province while Additional Sect. to Govt of Pak.
BPS-22. Chief Sect. in Province while Sect. to Govt of Pakistan

they used to be Assistant commmissioner, deputy commissioner etc. i think they now called them ACO, DCO etc. district co ordination officer or something like that.

The posts of Deputy Commissioners and Assistant commissioners are history now. These posts are abolished and replaced by nazims . Police group and Foreign Service are much better. Things are extremely dire in DMG. Judicial service is much better nowadays. Civil judges are now appointed in grade 18.
