Sheer injustice to Baluchistan?

The Punjab government currently has 300 federal district management group officers – the elite within the elite federal civil service – but does not need all of them. Yet it refuses to allow any of them to serve in Balochistan, which only has 19. Quetta is so desperate for DMG officers it is willing to pay double salaries for their services, but Punjab, under Sharif, refuses to let them go.

Well, that reminds me of a comment made by CJ that even IG Baluchistan cannot walk in the streets of Quetta.

Do you think any of those officers want to serve in Balochistan? Its not as simple as the paper suggests. Its not just about DMG officers, PSP officers who haven't even done their UT-ship are posted as DPO in some areas (of their choice in most cases) yet I don't think there will be many people who will volunteer to go there. In the past, many brilliant civil servants have spent a major portion of their career in Balochistan but now it is one of the least favorite place due to increasing insecurity.
