Default Life in PAS, PSP.
Guide me to the appropriate link or please answer the following regarding life in DMG and PSP.

1- Facilities: Is everyone given a mandatory residence, vehicle at the station of their service in both?

2- Rapidity of Promotions?

Dear sir,

A DMG ( now PAS), after completition of training, is posted as assistant commissioner in any tehsil where he avails a good residence and vehicle!
While a PSP after completion of training is posted as ASP ( SDPO),he certainly
Has vehicle fecility, but in most cases has to arrange his residence himself(especially in big cities)
As regards promotion, both have equally rapid promotion!
A PSP has slightly quicker promotion!

But frankly speaking its very hard to prefer one over the other group! It more depends upon one's temperament and inclination to for these groups!

PSP and PAS (former DMG) both remain the top priorities of 90% of the candidates and have their own charm. While the former vows for power and strong image within the society, the latter has unmatched diversity and mobility and has a better acceptability in the Society.

Both are very powerful groups and have reasonable influence over the masses and they enjoy reasonable dominance over the Bureaucracy of Pakistan

While serving in field, almost 90% of the officers in both Cadres get official Vehicle + Residence. In Secretariat while posted in big cities, it becomes a problem in initial grades.

Promotion is equally rapid in both and I think after Accounts and OMG, these 2 groups have fastest promotions.

I don't agree with the promotion aspect... PAS has the greatest share in BPS-22 and hence a greater room for promotion. It's because of this reason that promotion in PAS is the fastest.... In PSP you have hardly 6 or 7 BPS-22 seats while in PAS you have almost 35+
You can't compare the two in terms of promotion.....

Sir wassie,is that true from promotions point of view PAAS and IRS are after DMG? being a female is that possible to to join service of PAS in Lahore/capital city?

Promotion prospects in IRS and PAAS are very good. However I need to tell you one thing. As per my Information there is no BPS-22 post in IRS while in PAAS you have four Bps-22 posts. if you join PAS, you do have a chance of serving in lahore but there is no certainty in this regard since you could get posted elsewhere as well. But yes if you are fine with working at the secretariat you may have a greater chance of serving in lahore...

at the start of the job am i given option to work in sectariate or field? which one is best field or secteriate? can i be posted in field after few years of serivice in sectariate what if i dont want to go to far flung areas?

Of course field... You need to work in the field at the beginning of your career and secretariat at some later stage... Field experience is wonderful

Both groups are first preference almost all aspirant. ..they have almost same perks and privileges. ..
