Years of training in each grade before you get promoted in next one ?

Basic Training 2 Years , First you will go for your STP ( short Training Program ) in Civil Services Academy walton Lahore for 9 months and for 15 months you will go for Departmental Training After completion you will take Charge as BPS-17 officer . You need 5 years for your First Promotion including training Period . Then for Promotion from BPS-18 to 19 you need more 7 years . and for promotion from 19 and above you have to give test at NCPA ( National Institute for Public Administration ) Lahore.

The training that you undergo at CSA is called CTP i.e. common training program....
