As per my knowledge, PAS officers have to serve at least three years (excluding CTP & STP) in other province. Anyhow, any other senior member may give you authentice information.

Female officers can serve in their home provinces but Male PAS officers have to serve initially for three years out of their home provinces after CTP (Common Training Program) and STP (Specialized Training Program).

They cant serve in their home province for the specified period. Even after expiry of that specified period, You need Sifarish to get posted at your Home Province. Had it been so easy, we would have seen them in their desired provinces.

Sometimes you are sent to Swat/Dera Bugti, Thar desert, where life sound miserable. Then you realize what the hell is this Assistant Commissioner. You then prefer to be OSD.

Come on,If you are officer of Pakistan Administrative Service ,go and serve in whole Pakistan including FATA/FANA/GB/AJK and abroad too.You can't even imagine how much exposure you get after serving in all areas of Pakistan.
Civil service is public service and we are public servants so we should try to live as public servants. I am going to Sindh and i am excited to see new places, new people, new customs and new traditions
