Unhappy are PAS officers still posted as DDO in Punjab?
A young aspirant who has PAS as second preference after PSP . I don't know if I should really say this but I actually feel very hurt after reading about Devolution plan,I don't know who would have serving DMG(at that time) felt.

Well my query is that is that system still as it was after 2001 or there have been some changes? are PAS officers still posted DDO in Punjab or they are posted as AC ? moreover are there any chances of restoration of that system in next few years or it has become the destiny now ?

P.S Don't direct me towards any thread as I have already read them but they are very old mostly 2008,09,10 . I am in need of latest developments/predictions.

Designation of AC is restored in all 4 provinces, replacing that of DDO(R). The appointment of AC combines revenue functions with administrative responsibilities at a sub-division level. In Punjab, the ACs are also acting as Administrators of TMAs.

However, the designation of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) is yet to be restored, who would also be the AC.

Thanks brother for you response. I searched few days back and read many links of newspaper where it was mentioned that Punjab Gvt discussed to restore commissioner system as it was before Musharaf regime etc.
As being in service, you would have greater insights . Do you see designation of SDM being restored in near future or we can assume it "history" now ?
