First of all, I spell my name as Nauman, not Noman.


The following are the initial postings: -

1. Assistant Director (if posted to audit)
2. Assistant Accountant General (if posted to accounts)
3. Assistant Controller (if posted to military accounts)

Initial salary, inclusive of house rent, is around 25 thousand.

And PA&AS is not as powerful as DMG and PSP.

Can u please list a comparison b/w PAAS and IRS as to perks, preveliges, power and salary

paas has more horizontal n verticle mobility as compared to irs
it is apug where as irs is not
it has rapid promotions 2nd to dmg only

PAAS is a good group.Infact we cannot compare different groups or services.They must be judged on their individual merit (pros and cons).One thing which is new for me because i have never heard or read anywhere especially Estacode that PAAS belong to APUG.APUG consists of DMG,PSP,OMG. Please correct me if I am wrong but from a text.

yeah paas is apug too
the longest tenure of chief secretary of ny province of pak was of 6years n sum months spent by fazalurrehman (C.S sindh) who belonged to paas n retired recently.there has been est. sec in past too frm paas. two of the pakistans governer generals in past belonged to paas too

This is good that PAAS officer came as CS and other posts but the facts regarding APUG is that APUG consists of (DMG,PSP,and Secretariat Group). The OMG officers uptill grade 20 are in APUG but later on in grade 21 every one moves into Secretariat group even PSP,DMG, and all. So by virtue of grade 21 PAAS officers were posted on APUG posts but this is with all cadres and anybody getting promotion in 21 moves inot secretariat group.

To clarify please consider the following

basis, leading to a mismatch between skills and placement. An important issue in the
context of placements is the de facto reservation of certain posts for officers from
the All Pakistan Unified Group (APUG) (i.e. DMG, Police and the Secretariat Groups).
The distribution of working positions in BS-17 to BS-22, in terms of the total number
of civil servants belonging to the Federal Unified Grade (FUG) and the APUG is
significantly in favour of the APUG.

Now this is not to contest your opinion but since fellow commoners from other groups must also know that upon their promotion to grade 21,they all are in APUG by virtue of joining secretariat group otherwise in lower grades only PSP and DMG are in APUG.

brother i dnt hve ny written evidence of paas being apug neither did i search for it but dats wot i have heard frm all paas officers.i dnt find ny logic of all of dem lying buh mayb sum senior member of paas here can shed sum lite on it
