Help Needed from Serving PCS officers

Hello hope you are good and in best of health.

I need help from serving PCS officers to clarify some matters regarding the prestigious Pakistan Custom Services but before the questions i would like to give a short intro about myself so that seniors can gauge about my personality and aptitude and give an honest opinion whether a person like me will make the cut in this Group.

i belong from a lower middle family, my father was also a CSP officer at Grade 18th in Pakistan Postal Directorate but he passed away when i as just 3. With no other siblings its just me and my mother, and by Allah's grace my fathers pension is enough that we can live without any real hardship.

I felt this was necessary to lay on the board because as soon as some one of my social standing says he wants to opt for PCS as his first preference people instantly bring about negative impression. ( for which i dont blame them for they think i am trying to get a short cut to a wealthier life)

A lot of people ask me why do i not opt for PSP or PAS the reason for doing so is very simple and that is the nature of these jobs require you to deal with moderate amount of political influence and interference whether you like it or not. This can also be a positive point because for some reason you already have such connections which can turn out in your favor. But i dont so these will be on the bottom of my list.

Some might argue why not FSP then, well in FSP such things exit on a very low level but the nature of the job does not suit my family i.e my mother while Diplomats are allowed to have same privileges of travel for spouses and children but unfortunately not for parents, so its out of the question for me.

Now we come to the actually reason i want to join PCS which is very down to earth and that is the very nature of the job and service itself which is mostly out in the field protecting my Country's Borders, Ports and Airports from illegal contraband, Human trafficking and Smuggling and by doing this i know i am making a difference no matter how small it might be to make my Country a better place.
This is soul reason i dont give a damn about perks, powers, privileges... as long as i can make my ends meat and do the thing i am passionate about i am happy and content.

So now comes my question can a man of such ideals Survive in todays Pakistan Custom Services? is there any Political pressure faced by Customs officer and to what extent the higher ups can put pressure/influence on such a man to mold him to our Pakistani culture of Corruption and Nepotism.

Eagerly Awaiting your Valuable replies.
