Asslamulaikum,

Dear Brother..!!

One who is heired as an Inspector, the next promotion will be to the rank of DSP (Deputy superintendent of Police), then SP ( Superintendent of Police), not ASP.
Only Css qualifiers can have the post of ASP, not the rankers.
Thirdly, for an Inspector to become an SP, it takes more than 10 to 12 years.

Regards

@ bro. Silent Spectator
In these day inspectors takes 10-12 years for promotion to the rank of SP. If induction of direct inspector is made in police department promotion structure may be disturb then inspector will take 10-12 year for Deputy and 24-25 year SP.

A huge disturbance.
