Yes, officers from all Pakistan complete their CTP(Common training program) at CSA Lahore. And after completion of CTP they are sent to respective service training academy for STP.

Academies are in different cities. So far as I know DMG, Railways, IRS, Audit and Accounts are in Lahore, Customs in Karachi, and rest are in Islamabad.

I think ASP stands for Additional Superintendent of Police. If somebody says that ASP stands for Assistant Superintendent of Police, then it means an ASP is lower in rank than a DSP. But this is not the case, as an ASP is considered superior to DSP.

ASP stands for Assistant Superintandent Police, DSP stands for Deputy Superintandent Police. ASP and DSP both are of BPS 17, however, an ASP is a comissioned officer and starts his carrer with ASP rank and can promote upto IG rank whereas an employee reaches to DSP rank after serving 25 to 30 years in service and in rear cases can promote upto SP or SSP and than retires.

ASP stands for Assistant Superintendent Police, where as DSP stands for Deputy Superintendent Police. ASPs are always CSP officers , but DSPs are selected in Provisional Services Commission ( PCS,SCs).. Both have the same ranks , but to the major extent, it can be said that, ASP is still senior and holds more authority then DSP. DSPs mostly work in fields.
