thanks bro for ur correction , but u didnt answer my first post.i have great passion for PSP but i want to know real picture of this cadre, some people underestimate and some overestimate it,
let me know if u have some authentic infos

I hope these two threads will answer most of your questions. Besides i am not sure about it, but i don't think PSP officers get any special Medical allowance, and children studying allowance other than what all other government servants get.

hahahahahah....wesay tmhari baton se lag raha hai k africa k inspector ki pay itni ho gee :P.....wesay b inspector ka rank 16 hota hai :)....1995 main to SSP ki pay b 7500/- thee .....aaj ki baat karo :P :Paur ek inspector 35/40 thousand pay lay raha hai ...aur SHO ko pay k equall hi special allownce mil raha hai ....main ne jo figure btai sahi hai...DSP BABAr JAMEEL 65000 pay lay rha thaa ....ek ASP ab 50000 se kam pay thori na lay ga :)....!!

[B]1)Firstly the basic pay of each BPS-17 is just 8949 or 9000.[/B]
[B]2) The salary of an ASP is over all 32000.[/B]
[B]3) It's just a biasd statment that SHO gets 65000.[/B]
[B]4) It's not necessary that Scale of SHO must be 16 or 14, try to understand that an SHO is post not the rank..........!!! Learn it....![/B]
[B]5) At majority of police stations Sub-Inspectors are SHO's.....there is a magic.....If you ask, I will tell you people.[/B]

ASP...45000 to 50000
SP....50000 TO 75000
i ve figures for the higher ranks too bt i m nt sure abt those

well the figure for ASP nd SP are accurate
here goes the salaries of rest....
SSP...90000 to 110000(i m also sure abt this more than 90%)
DIG...110000 to 130000
AIG...150000 to 200000
IG...200000 to 250000
facilities of ASP r 4 guards,house,vehicle,patrol....(nt to mention authority)
some of my friends say that there telephone nd electricity bills is also paid by the govt. to some extent(hwever i dont believe untill i get its confirmation from some reliable sources)...thats all wt i knw
nd yes facilities also increase as u move up the scale

i want to know the salary and residence, an asp gets while going to training. and also want to that can he reside and perform duty in hometown. And also that can he got enough time for family after joining police service
