Sir are you going to appear on army quota or open merit? If quota then your service will be counted otherwise you will start from zero zero like any csp selected from civil.

And antedate seniority of around 3years will be given if you have any extension of service beyond 5years and as per my knowledge an asp is promoted to sp after more than 3years service.

Your past service will be counted for salary purpose only. You will be appointed as an ASP if your are allocated in your preferred group that i assume is PSP.

And one more benefit. In seniority list you will be at the top since army inductees are given marks equal to the topper of that service.
