Post ANALYSING THE CAUSES OF TERRORISM IN PAKISTAN U/approaches of comparative politics

Internal Causes of Terrorism:
1. Socio-Economic Causes in Matrix of Instituitional, Ideational & Individual factors:
Socio-economic challenges have aggravated this growing threat of violence and extremism in many social deprivations. Injustice, illiteracy, over-population, unemployment and poverty are the alluring gifts by policy-makers of Pakistan.
Instituitional factors include the poor governance of leaders depriving people from facilities and amenities. Revolutionaries were providing the disappointed citizens of state, the very need of existence for survival i.e., monitory support. Unemployed, illiterate and poverty rampant people sought the violence as only way to deal with this socio-economic deprivation.
Ideational factors includes the values and beliefs of common people; not to indulge in public affairs and grasp the hands of apathy and extremism to curb their problems. They finally adopts such culture where pains and sufferings of people seems uncertain.
Individual factors includes the corruption, food inequality, mismanagement of resources, lack of accountability, dissatisfaction and favoritism of elite people, depriving the whole mediocre from the road towards progress. Youth and unemployed class used to take refuge in the hand of radicals to overcome their obsessions. Pakistan’s leadership gives no answer to such socio-economic challenges, which are occupying the minds of common people to make their way towards radicalism.
2. Political Causes in Matrix of Instituitional, Ideational & Individual factors:
Political causes also creates the vacuum. It also paved the way for terrorists to establish their foothold in Pakistan. Basically, there is no political setup in Pakistan,. Everyone is pursuing his own self-interest and denying each other existence. Political Institutions are continuously in conflict with each other. Their clashes creates such political turmoil where terrorists fund their safe-havens and targeting innocent people for their selfish motives. Politics is like a forbidden fruit for poor class and thus to have their say in politics, they make their way towards the seemingly glittery road of radicalization.
Institutional factors includes the authoritative rule of leaders in the grab of democracy and thus leading to democratic failures, absence of law and order, clash between executive and judiciary and influx of refugees. The institution of democracy has been failed to curb this menace of terrorism which has opened its feathers by authoritative regime in Pakistan during the 9/11-War on Terror. These Institutional challenges led terrorists to instigate the civilians for uproar and radical objectives.
Ideational factors includes the weaponization of Pakistan and introduction of Kalashinkov’s culture by such chaotic and disruptive political attitude. Disappointed and hopeless civilians from political scenario get influenced by such “Change”, which they wish to transfigure their present situation. They try to see themselves through the glance of Revisionist powers and make their way through “Dharna”.
Individual factors includes the motivation of feudalism, drug-trafficking, mass massacre and low morals of all individuals of state. The terrorists don’t have any incentive for kindness, sympathy and compassion for the people. Political instability of state helps them to become more empowered day by day.
3. Religious Causes in Matrix of Instituitional, Ideational & Individual factors:
Religious causes have also given sound ground to terrorists. Now-a-days, religious intolerance is spreading around the country. People are misunderstanding the religion. The ideas, concepts and values which are presented by Almighty Allah in Holy Quran are totally different from what people understand. The message of Allah was misinterpreted by terrorists. They are doing Jihad for themselves, not in the way of Allah.
Institutional factors include this misconception of message of Allah by these revolutionaries. The religious Madrassahs served as training camp for these Talibans under which they misinterpret the religion Islam. Islam seeks tolerance and they are committing religious intolerance by the name of Islam. These Madrassahs were created by our Intelligence agency ISI, together with CIA and other Intelligence agencies. These Institutions have paved the way for Talibans to become inhumane and dragons.
Ideational facors include the sectarianism which provokes selfish motives of Talibans together with material gains and their futile desire of heaven. They claim for heaven by claiming the million of lives. That was their ideology; the more the blood-shed, the more you deserve heaven.
Individual factors include the portrayal of negative image of world by terrorists and thus installing the apathy among the weak compromised brains to instabilize the state for their selfish motives. Religious Elites indulge in corruption and run after material gains. Thus sound policies are required to stay radicals away from weak minds whom there is a fear of brain washing.
External Causes of Terrorism:
Terrorism has entangled his firm roots in the foundations of our state, Pakistan. Internal cohesions also has a spil over effect on terrorism, but we cannot negate the impact of external factors influencing the stability of Pakistan. Soviet Intervention in Afghanistan 1979, paved the way for Mujahideens to originate themselves by means of ISI training, CIA funding and other intelligence agencies support. This Intervention and lately the withdrawal of soviet forces from Afghanistan empowered radicals and thus began a journey of disaster and turmoil in Pakistan. Iranian Revolution in 1979 also evolve Sectarianism , which further deteriorated the condition inside Pakistan. Terrorists took their firm hold by means of these two events. 9/11 War On Terror also become the foothold for the impoverishment of Talibans in Pakistan.
Institutional factors include the Religious Madrassahs, a hub of terrorists, established and trained by ISI in Afghanistan and rule of Sunni Majority in Iran led the revolutionaries to create their safe havens in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran. 9/11 War On Terror also helps build the instituition of terrorism as currently we are seeing TTP and ISIS. Negligence of government, drone attacks, anti-terrorism campaigns had further instigated the terrorism in Pakistan.
Ideational factors include the Sectarianism prevailing in Iran, resulting in eruption of Sunni-Shia conflict in Pakistan. Similarly futile desire of heaven in Taliban’s psychology is slowly and gradually is imparting to some weak minds of Pakistanis resulting in the evolution of more Taliban in Pakistan. 9/11 War On Terror brought all the Muslim States in the eyes of US as culprits and being an ally and neighbor of Afghanistan, US kept Pakistan under its strict supervision up till now. Thus, the ideas and values of Taliban have been installed in Pakistan by certain events.
Individual factors include the internal cohesions and rivalries in Pakistan between individuals on the basis of Sunni and Shia –as delegated by the Iran. Role of mujahidin in Afghanistan in the eruption of Drug Trafficking, addiction, weaponization, and other criminal activities. 9/11 War On Terror has also bestowed the Gift of “Psychological Hangover” to Pakistan. The terrorism and extremism going in Pakistan has created havoc and bomb blasts become the norm of the day. Every Street comes under the target of just one thumb click, Women emancipations, and girls education have been highly targeted by the such revolutionaries, they negate the concept of literacy among women.

Conclusion:
Thus by analyzing the causes of terrorism in Pakistan under the approaches of Comparative Politics, we come to know that terrorism is badly influencing us, not only institutionally but also ideationally and individually. Thus we should join hands to curb this menace of the terrorism from Pakistan by means of strengthening our governance.
