Make a brief study of pak official foreign policy. Its available online. It will help you in selection of topics. For making notes, download the book PAKISTAN A HARD COUNTRY.
link is available.

In my opinion, learning other person views is difficult, you can only get guideline of formulating your own views but can never remember them. Its just my opinion, everybody differ in philosophical mentality, atleast i cannot remember them.

Pakistan A Hard Country By Anatol Lieven
I have read that book a bit. The author of that book is a British journalist. The book seems really nice so far. The author talks about social and political fabric of Pakistan's society, though as interesting and informative it may be, I don't think, it would be appropriate to bluntly mention some of the observations of the author in CSS examination.. Such as Pakistan being a negotiated state. You may want to avoid using those terms, but regardless, it is a good read and would help you in developing your perception about Pakistan for CSS examination.

No need to prepare from the book. Its just an example how to express a happening in an authentic way. We cannot prepare current affairs from a past book. Current affairs are always changing day after day especially pak relations.
