Smile Pak China Defense Cooperation

Pak China Defense Cooperation

Over the years , it is good thing for ‘Iron Brothers’ that without concerning any condition in both countries , they establish good relations with each other. No matters, which govt. is in both countries, what economical condition in both countries they never compromise on their friendship . That’s why Pakistan’s Prime Minister ‘Mian M. Nawaz Sharif’ called this friendship as ‘Higher than Himalaya, Deeper than sea and sweeter than honey. ’

Both Pakistan and China had faced very critical situations after their creation. Pakistan had to fight with India in 1948 and China had to fight with Korea in 1951. In 1950 China due to same ‘Markixt Lenancy’ made friendship with Soveit Union. At that time Pakistan made agreement with USA and become its ally to counter ‘USSR’ . But in 1956, when ‘Kenita Khurshecv’ denounced legacy of Stalin. Then China cut off its friendship with Soveit Union in 1960. In 1961, China called Soveit Union as ‘Revisionist Traitors ’ and revolutionized its own type of Communism . After it in 1969 , a conflict of border between ‘China and USSR’ developed.

At that time Pakistan was ally of USA. USA had helped Pakistan economically and in military cooperation . But during war with India in 1965, when Pakistan needs of America in military cooperation it left Pakistan alone in battle field. At that time Pakistan understood America’s real face that it used Pakistan for its military cooperation but did not help Pakistan at time of need.

In 1962 , Pakistan moved forward towards China , because they both are not happy with aggressive behavior of India in Asia. So, Pakistan finds China as good friend. Because they have common enemy which is India. Both had fought war with India i/e Indo-Pak War in 1948 and Sino-Indo War in 1962. So, they find it better to cooperate each other so that counter India in this region. After 1963, Border agreement with China , China had cooperated Pakistan in economy , education and in defense. Pakistan from its foundation finds China as its first true friend.

China had cooperated Pakistan in its defense . China helped Pakistan to develop its first ‘Heavy Mechanical Complex’ , ‘Pakistan Ordinance Factory ’ through Pakistan makes itself capable to develop defense instrument from its own country. China has cooperated Pakistan financially and gave about $60 Million in 1965, $40 Million in 1969 and $200 Million for next five years.
Mr. Abdustattar in his book ‘Pakistan’s Foreign Policy from 1947-2005’ said,
“When USA has banned on its military sales , China supported Pakistan and helped two departments of Pakistan military and also gave MIG aircraft to Pakistan Air force. This was first kind of aircraft to Pakistan air force.”

China has cooperated Pakistan to build its ‘Pakistan Aeronautical Complex’ and ‘Heavy Industries’ in Taxila. China has also helped Pakistan to develop ‘Al-Khalid Tank’ which was due to combined efforts of ‘China-Pak Army’. In recent years Pak-China military cooperation makes our friendship more sweeter and stronger. Pakistan and China has now developed ‘Alkhalid Tank-1, K-8 Korakarm Training Aircraft, Alkhalid-II, Submarines and J-F17 Thunder fighter plane’.

Recent visit of Pakistan’s Army Chief ‘General Raheel Sharif’ towards China in 26 January 2015 makes our military cooperation more stronger. Chinese Foreign Ministry called it as ‘irreplaceable all weather friend’. China also concluded sale of ‘8 Conventional Submarines’ of worth $5 Billion to Pakistan Which was China’s largest military sale to any country. During visit of Pakistan’s Air force chief to China, he met with Vice Chief of China’s Defense and he also visited various defense institutions of China .

Recent China gave following defense instrument to Pakistan.

JF 17 Thunder:-
JF 17 Thunder is fighting plane which was developed by efforts of ‘Pakistan’s aeronautical cooperation ’ and china’s defense industry . It is very light fighting plane. It can be used for ground attacks. It can be used for air to air attack and air to ground attack. It can carry ‘Beyond Visionary Range’ missiles.

K-8 Karakoram Training Aircraft:-
K-8 training aircraft is new type of aircraft . It is light attack aircraft developed by combine efforts of ‘Hungdo Aviation Industry Cooperation’ and ‘Pakistan Aeronautical Complex’. It is replaced by current aircraft available to Pakistan’s army.

AlKhalid Tank-I:-
Alkhalid Tank-I is variation of ‘Main Battle Tank’ which was available to Pakistan’s army from many years. In 2001, Pakistan had its first few Alkhalid Tank-I and in 2009 Pakistan had got 300 new Alkhalid tanks. Alkhalid-I Tank is new type of tanks and it is smaller in size. It has weight of 46 ton. It has speed of about 74-76 km/hr. It has acceleration of 32km/hr in 10 sec.

Submarines:-
China has agreed to jointly co-produce ‘Diesel Electrical Submarines’ with ‘Air Independent Propulsion ‘. Which is need of Pakistan’s Navy. In March 2015, Pakistan’s Prime Minister approved this agreement with China. Through this agreement China gave Pakistan 8 new Diesel Electrical Submarines. Which will be also China’s biggest in military defense with any country.

Alkhalid –II:-
Pak-China also agreed to reproduce modified form of ALkhalid-I which named as Alkhalid-II . It has ‘Integrated Battle Management System’ and ‘Active Threat System’. It will be generated combine cooperation of ‘Pakistan Heavy Industry Complex ’ and China’s Defense industry.

Jf 17 is old fighter. I wonder why Pakistan and China focused to make it. It is 3rd generation light combat aircraft. Even 1980s f16 are much better than jf 17.
Pakistan need to build j10 fighter based aircraft carrier with China and need to focus more to build with china j31 fc31 fifth generation twin engine sealth fighter much better and cheap than f35 recently also Russia denied to give su 35s to pakistan so we need to focus on such defense projects in order to maximize our deterrent capability ...at least the presence of such arsenal in pakistan would definitely haunt india

All the big nations like China Japan USA UK India Russia and even turkey making fifth generation fighters like tai fx ...if India can make sukhoi 30mki and sukhoi PAK FA T50 through joint cooperation with Russia then why can't pakistan build its own 5th generation stealth fighter with turkey and China..

Pakistan moved to china after realizing its strategic importance and as a rising power in Asia that took place when despute between china and india took place on Aksai china, which is famous as white land though after 1962 sino india war, and despite with Pakistan , India realized to making her policy of balance of power and inchoate Nuclear Power in South Asia, though at that time, USA's armed support to India and not taking any significant measures for its Nuclear policy, made Pakistan and China more resentful. China historical supported many time in Pakistan whether it be the Kashmir issue or sanctions over its Nuclear program and Pakistan too had made significant contribution over Taiwan issue and supported UNSC membership of china, though it may be the fear of India or USA that made two friends together or China's strategic planning to rose in South Asia as a leading power. One of the representative of china said that Pakistan is our Israel and that intensified contributions led to Sino-pak relations more sweetener then honey. Joint-Fighter 17 more commonly known as JF-17 is one of the remarkable contribution of both countries.

J f 17 is an inferior old light combat aircraft it isnt even all weather fighter.it is 3rd generation fighter..pakistan need 5th generation twin engine stealth fighter like j31 through joint cooperation...need aircraft's carrier..that real deal rather merely rely on submarines only...thats what truely will define our military strength and defence currently f-16 is much better than jf17

Adamant, please first explain the difference between a 3rd & 4th generation fighter plane and then explain the qualities that other 4th generation planes have that JF-17 lacks which makes it a 3rd generation fighter.

After you've done that, I'll answer all your objections on JF-17, submarines and a lack of aircraft carrier & 5th generation fighters.

OK, read on Wikipedia the basis upon which fighter jets are classified into different generations. By any standard of classification JF-17 is a true 4th generation fighter, and starting from next year with Block 3, will be a true 4.5th generation aircraft.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_fighter_generations

What does it lack from other 4th generation fighters?

Maneuverability? Better than F-16 block 52.

BVR missiles? Yep, SD-10, comparable to AIM120C AMRAM. And you know what? soon enough JF-17 is going to get the 5th generation PL-15 BVR & PL-10 WVR missile by China. Even the USAF is spooked by them.

All weather? Off course. Why would you even think its not all whether? Even Mig-21 is all weather. Been reading Indian forums too much? They're not good for your health.

AESA Radar? Coming on from next year on block 3 . Confirmed by ACM himself. BTW this upgrade makes JF-17 a 4.5th generation plane.

IRST? Block 3 will also have IRST. Confirmed by PAF official during Paris Air show. Do know what can be accomplished in an aerial encounter with a mature IRST solution? We can even see, track and target stealth planes i.e F-22 and F-35. Read this: http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/inf...the-1691441747

AntiShip capability? Off course. With C-802 and the new Chinese CM400AKG Hyper sonic anti ship missile. Even US is concerned about this one. Russians call it an aircraft carrier killer.

http://www.janes.com/article/44897/i...hypersonic-asm

It even has some 5th generation stealth characteristics like the DSI intake which reduces RCS. In fact, the only other operational fighter jet on the planet with a DSI intake is F-35. Did you know that?

http://www.grandestrategy.com/2007/1...for-third.html

Avionics? Top notch, better than anything we have right now, even better than the F-16 block 52s.

Precision strike? You bet. WMD-7 advanced sniper pod for precision strike and target accusation.

Standoff weapons? Ra’ad ALCM, H2, H4, MAR 1 anti radiation missile. Whats missing?

http://pafwallpapers.com/blog/tag/wmd-7-targeting-pod/

Tell me the name of one other fighter jet which can do all of the above in a price tag of $25 million. Tell me the name of one other fighter jet which has all of the above and can be called a 3rd generation fighter.

You need to stop underestimating what we've got going on with JF-17. Its so beutiful thats its make my heart ache with love . Read more and more:

The JF-17 I: A Wave of Change for the Pakistan Air Force

The JF-17 II: Introducing BVR & Precision Strike

The JF-17 III: Major Changes Ahead on JF-17 Block-3

The JF-17 IV: Tomorrow’s Weapon Systems

As far as 5th generation aircraft are concerned, we'll get them in due course of time but JF-17 will remain the bulk of our PAF, as it needs to. Right now the enemy can be handled with what we have. Their T-50s aren't coming before 2025 at least. They cant even afford more than 36 Rafaels these days. What to talk about 5th generation fighters. We'll eventually get Chinese FC-31 or be a partner in Turkey's TFX program. But right now, we've got all we want and are in a very comfortable position.

Great analysis i love it...ans these few questions 1 but why pakistan was in talk with russia to buy su 35 if jf17 has such features...(the same janes.com wikipedia and sputnik.com had qouted ) 2 why they said we need twin engine stealth fighter like su 35 that can penetrate deeper into enemys territory 4 why pakistan is in talks with china to buy j31 if we can convert jf into 5th generation stealth fighter 5 is jf is an airsuperiority fighter 6 why does china not use it 6 why cant we make it a carrier supported aircraft 7 why cant we make it into twin engine thrust vectoring fighter so that no more cost on further import
