Best compiled book

I haven't missed DAWN since last september and have been actively following it. Now i think its time to focus on syllabus related topics as there are many topic- specially worlds affairs- which aren't covered by dawn. Can someone refer me a well written/compiled book or magazine or anything that will cover the syllabus effectively?

The economist is a weekly magazine that covers current affairs.

Also, do visit websites of famous newspapers like New York Times and Daily mail, reading articles there will help not only in current affairs but also in improving grammar/vocabulary.

As far as book is concerned, Current Affairs by Focus is reasonable

I had a cursory glance at the book and it seemed that the material was not up to date.. many figures were of 2008,09 etc

Main thing is chronology of issues and structure of the matter. Facts & Figures can be updated over the net.

I am actually satisfied by contemporary affairs apart from some poorly organised topics for which i'll buy current affairs by focus as you have recommended. Thanks
