Default Cracking current affairs

Hello Folks!
I've been meaning to ask this.
Is there any way of cracking current affairs without having to read newspaper daily?
It just doesn't work for me. I have an Engineering background and have never been active on world affairs. And I have read Dawn newspaper before but only the horoscope page and nothing else.
It just doesn't work for me to daily read it and search for an important topic pertinent to current affairs and then tear it and paste it on my notebook or make soft notes out of it .

Maybe a compiled version would do better for me. Any suggested readings other than daily newspaper?
Also can anybody give me a list of important and hot topics relevant to current affairs now-a-days as I've seen CPEC related questions a lot.

You don't have to read the whole paper, just the three editorials in dawn. If you don't want to read it every day, then you can read the editorials for a month in the end of the month. It is too risky to not to read news papers.
ISSI and IPRI journals are a good option as an complied material.
CA helps in your overall paper a lot. If you can't read then watch.

There are few things that I have complied in this thread
http://www.cssforum.com.pk/css-compu...t-academy.html

This is a risky option, but you can do your CA in December and read the year's worth dawn then. Newspaper is essential and it helps a lot in other subjects. DW it happens and we all struggle. You can start with these books
Sir Fareed NOA CA book
Pakistan at cross roads by jefferlot
JWT CA book

I hope this helps

These are the headings of my current affairs notes, and multiple questions could be made from each. If you want specific specific then stick to the journals and mags

I know alot of people who do CA in the end, maybe you can do that
