Important Question for Seniors, regarding Controversial Issues.
 

Dear fellows, I am confused regarding the current affairs paper. My confusion basically pertains to the mentioning of controversial issues and mistakes of the government and our foreign policy.

For example, is it okay If we mention how the military operation in FATA has made situation worse, or is it okay if we mention how the current govt is involved in corruption and grave mistakes of foreign policy from both the civilian and military perspective?

I have been told that we should not mention such things in the exam, that makes me wonder how we are supposed to answer the questions? For example if we are asked about failure of democracy in Pakistan, are we expected to just mentioned broadly the basic points? or can we go in the nitty gritty and point to events and parties, such as Indian hand in attacks, Isreal and US policies, Balauch Nationalism and terrorism, mistakes of our own govt, the short comings, the corruption and loot of the peoples assets and can we take names?

I want to know as to what we should avoid and what is appreciated? I do not want to mention things that displease the examiners, since our basic aim is to achieve marks, but I wonder if mentioning the truth will hurt us.

Diplomacy is the key in this dillema. Remain prudent diplomatic.
Include these harsh but real facts in way that the examiner doesn't get it irrational, biased, and raw opinion. Refined opinion may save you from any untoward risk. Do mention these demerits and wrong steps of states but in an indirect tone, don't write in clear cut and childish manner. Try to enhance your diplomatic tendencies in such issues.

okay, thanks, so, is it better if we mention things such as:-

some analysts are of the view that unnecessary concessions given by the Pakistani govt in favor of foreign powers has led to unstable conditions internally.

Is this okay? because in this we are not basically saying it is our opinion as well, and when we do give our opinion, we can be diplomatic.
