Preparing for Current Affairs Topics: Suggestions needed

Currently I am reading all articles of dawn but it takes too much time. After having look on CSS 2010 papers of Pakistan Affairs, Islamiat, Essya and Current Affair (as current affairs is involved in all of them) it is obvious that all articles written by XYZ are not very much helpfull in CSS. Only selected writers would help. Therefore, I want to change my strategy a little bit and want your suggestions on it.

I want to read the following:

DAWN
1. All three editorials of Dawn daily, Plus Encounter on sunday; Front back & Int'l page of Dawn (Nothing else)

Columnists
2. Hassan Askari
3. Anwer Saeed
3. Shahid Javed Burkey
4. Ayaz Mir
5. Talat Masood
6. Shireen Mizari
7. Shamshad Ahmad
8. Dr. Maleeha Lodhi
9. Dr. Farukh Saleem
9. Ayesha Sadeeqa
10. Ardesher Cowasjee
11. Cyril Almedia
12. Irfan Hussain

Periodicals

13. Contemporary Affairs by Carvan (Quarterly) (contemporary Affaris by Imtiaz Shahid is not good than Carvan)
14. Journal of Strategic Studies (Quartely)

I would suggest you to understand the basic issues like Kashmir, War on terror, Neocolonialism, poverty, blah blah first from authentic books etc and then go on studying all this material. Make it habit to comment on them with your own opinion.
I think it will be better not to copy or make notes of columns etc. Only try to remember facts and figures, if authentic, from these columns.

I have seen your threads on current affairs. You are really doing well. If you continue these efforts, you will be among the toppers. cheers!:)

Thank you for your suggestions.

Previously I had time so I made some notes from columns but now, as I have started preparation for other subjects, I am not making notes of current affairs now anymore as it takes too much time.

I have seen the papers of 2010 and came to know that current affair was incorporated in four subjects; Pakistan Affairs, Islamiat, essay and CA. So I wanted to make my preparation a more comprehensive in CA that's why I am selecting some good writers instead of reading each and everything for the newspaper.

yeah, it's good strategy. Current affairs were in Geo2 even:pipe

All the best,
