Default How to go about CA?

Hello Folks,

I want to ask one question here. After reading this forum , i have concluded that best sources are magazines/newspapers and 1 or 2 books. It is possible to read magazines but i dont think i would be able to remember the news that is 4 months old? So how do one read news papers or magazines then? Should i take short notes or something?

Also, should some one prepare current affairs simultaneously or should we give it dedicated time? How much time is required by it??? I want to appear in 2011 exam and this is my first attempt so plz help out
Please Senior Members and CSP members reply to these queries.

yes dear u r right that the best way to prepare CA is to read magaziens and news paper besides one or two books. as for as ur problem is cuncerned dear it is important to make short notes of CA in bullet forms. also note down the important facts and figures along with quotations. for the problem of ur remembering the the old news dear there is no such need. ur regular newspaper and magazines reading will enable u to understand and remember the issue easily.

so dont worry and keep on working hard.reading newspaper will not only help u in CA but in almost all papers like essay, composition, pak affairs, islmiat and some optional subjects.

regards

current affair was like a monster to me.but i managed to handle that in my css 2010 exam.these are some tips which i followed during my praparation

purchase whatever book or notes from any academy
read 1st and last 2nd pages of Dawn plus its editorials which are on the extreme left side on editoreal page.
by having a look on past papers u will come to know the pattern
just have cutting of important news and event.
ur notes provide u back ground of any event and the newspaper will provide u updates of the relevant event.
i gave 15 days to CA to establish a base and collect cuttings from dawn or sometimes do google search.
that was my way.
the paper was quite intersting i had preapred the topics that were being asked and my 12 msqs were correct.baki result anay pr pta chlay ga:
best of luck

Default CA preparation

Dear,
There is no good source other than DAWN to prepare C.A.My personal experience is that you must have interest in current affairs and 2nd ability to understand the terminologies of I.R and other subjects related to the C.A.The best way will be to consult DAWN on regular basis.Your own practice of developing views about a topic will benefit you in the long run.

Reading newspaper is the best activity one can involve in to handle CA. Reading articles also add to this activity. Following are some writers from The Dawn & their areas of speciality.

Shahid Javeed Barki:
On Monday in Comment in Analysis writes about Economics (Int'l & Pakistani Economics), in Tuesday editorial also writes on various topics.

Rafia Zakaria:
On current Political issues.

A.G.Noorani:
Writings normally focus on constitution & constitutional development, writer is a lawyer.

Kuldip Nayyar:
Pakistan India Relations, he is an expert over this issue.

There was a columnist Ayesha Siddiqa she has not been writing for last several months, her columns were also worth reading.
