Default Current Affairs

I second the idea that one should solve the past current affairs questions as it enables one to understand the theme of the subject and it is like tasting the dish before eating it.

current affair paper is always about the events happened till december, important organization their works and progress, the relations with countries.one question is must on any organization and one question is must on pakistan relation with any other country.and when one start preparation for exam he should study in a way to manage essey and current affiar preparation together.many of the topics are relevant one another.
for example flood question was in c.a paper and it was also asked in essey paper.energy crisis is not only asked in c.a but also an essey in mostly papers.number of topics are relevant with one another.

In the current affairs sub-forum, download the "Most Important Questions". The moderator has arranged the questions topic wise. So topics will be

- Questions related to Pakistan's history with Democracy
- Corruption and Good Governance
- Pak Us, Pak India Relations
- Kashmir Dispute

etc

So you know what topics and questions are asked in the exam. While reading the newspaper, focus on those topics. For instance, you dont need to note important points regarding the diatribe between Rana Sanaullah and Babar Awan .. But you should carefully read and analyze articles on Government's performance, foreign policy etc.

In the beginning, read the whole newspaper but after a month or so, you will yourself know which topics you should and shouldnt read

Default Consult good internet sources

Salam All,

CSS candidates usually tend to waste lot of money on current affairs books and digest which I think is not a good idea. You have full time access to Internet so why to purchase books, even when the authors of these books themselves consult to Internet sources.

The fact of the matter is that the preparation of current affairs require alot of reading daily news articles. So, you just stick to the material published in the major newspapers. However, I found a very useful website for this purpose where you can have the best material published all over the world (including national & international newspapers). The link for the website is:

pkarticleshub, Pakistan affairs, news article, column, opinion, video, books

The best thing about this site is that the articles are lined up in categories, so it make one's task quite easy.

I consult this website and find useful material there.
Best of Luck.
