these topics will become old till we have the CSS 2013 at hand...current affairs doesn't only mean the "affairs that are happening at present" rather you must expect anything from the examiner as in 2012 they asked very general things and none of current affairs hot topics like Iran-US relations etc was asked...
no it is not stupidity, you will become well conversant with things as you move on...wish you all the luck in your endeavours...
and do use simple default font size and style as well as colour, i think you haven't gone through forum rules and regulations yet...

azmatullah Saturday, June 16, 2012 09:01 PM

Dear aspirants its too early to prepare for current affairs. As I appeared in ce 2012 and believe me CA topics, prepared four month before exams, were of no use. Remain touch with news to get a back ground knowledge of all issues, and start your preparation from November.

Such Hard line questions as Mailk riaz case can never been asked...as for 2012 people expected memo gate but i think examiner never asked such controversial things!!

Ali Noor Saleemi Sunday, June 17, 2012 10:36 AM

I think ............................ what do you..??

I think ............................ what do you..??
Media Gate, Arslan Iftakhar issue, Memo scandal etc.
Tripped Game to create insolence between the institutions in Pakistan and to divert the consideration on the national issues
(Revised foreign policy especially against US, Afghanistan & Iran, Economy crises, Energy crises, International PR, War against terror etc..)
So they create distortion among the people of Pakistan and also between their institutions
In Media Gate scandal malik riaz plays the role of a foreign agent..
Its not an attack on judiciary but also on the freedom of E-Media,
its a Master plan supported by a foreign power who clearly defined that
Pakistani sold their own mother in respect to get money.

shah Sunday, June 17, 2012 07:59 PM

dear yes its true do not prepare current affairs too early . wait until written result of 2012 is out that is the right time to prepare c.a . If u really want to do something then prepare topics like
Organizations ( SAARC, OIC , ASEAN, SCO and EU)
Pakistan relations till today at the end of year u will have updated data to insert in these topics
in addition geo strategic location of Pakistan , energy crisis( again dont remember figures now u should read this but insert updated data atleast of the end of this year )
there is alot of stuff to study but don't forget u have to update urself

Engr Shahid Friday, August 17, 2012 08:30 PM

A lot has been said about topics of Current affair I would like to add in it that, It is evident from past papers some question for MCQ's may be ask about extravaganza event of the current year e.g.

* Olympic game : date, most medal winner, location etc
* Rio de Janerio conference over Climate change
* Unusual emergency meeting of O.I.C over Syria crises.
* $2.7 Billion curiosity Mars Rover expedition

Moreover growing US-CHINA row in Asia pacific are also a topic of importance too.

these are very important points like a Fact Finding Mission, people dont give importance to such issues but interview discussions usually be done on such issues. so dont give importance but atleast get some overview of them.

can we have some short listed topics important for current affairs?:excl:

asadullah88 Monday, January 07, 2013 05:31 PM

Question on Afghanistan's end game after US withdrawal in light of Pakistan's changed Afghan Policy could be asked. The theme is consistently being discussed in Dawn where Ambassador Najjamudin Sheikh's article could provide a great insight. For a detailed analysis and step by step sequence of events and developments please go to the website of Council of Foreign Relations. The website is also useful for those of you who are opting International Relations.
