presidential slot in egypt is vacant at present. However mohammad hussein tantawi leads the country who is the chairman of supreme council. Moreover, kamal ghanzouri is the current PM of egypt.

Well in Egypt the election of the president of the Republic is made by direct secret ballot from among all citizens having right to vote. Currently Presidential Elections are in process, due to large number of candidates no one has got majority hence the run-off elections are being held.

The final round will be held on 16-17 July 2012. Mohamed Morsi Candidate of the Freedom and Justice Party is likely to face Ahmed Shafik.
