Who is Edward Snowden?

Former employee of NSA. He leaked some important details of the spying operations of NSA especially related to internet

Edward Snowden - used to work in the NSA, NSA is a very shadowy US agency. Some people say, that it's acronym of "No Such Agency". However, the revelation of Snowden prove that NSA exists. Not only that, it has elaborate surveillance mechanisms in place, this surveillance, infringes upon rights of privacy enshrined in US constitution. Hence, his revelations have struck at the very root of US ideolgical basis. He has been given a sanctuary by Russia.

Snowden was CIA- NSA agent till 11 june 2013 i guess. he revealed the truth that NSA is distroying security as well as liberty of not only US citizens but Canadian, russian, Pakistani citiziens to the top notch. US govt: used too name him spy but infact he is an international hero.

Edward Snowden leaked the documents of US and British agencies . But , what is most important thing here is that he leaked them 'intentionally' . This thing makes much difference as he is now having an asylum in Russia , we can say a little bit of freedom .

There are different scenarios in which one can give a title to Snowden . If you are American army official , you will call him traitor . If you are from Russia , Germany or China , you will be calling him a World Hero . In technology terms , leaker may be most appropriate word as compared to Whistleblower .
The most important scenario is if you are an American and then you come to know that intelligence agency of your country was spying at you , then a name National Hero comes into the mind to be given to Snowden .

The extent of smartness he showed is that he not only leaked the documents but aroused tensions between China and USA , then Russia and USA . Most important of two of them is a conflict between Russia and USA , as it looks that due to one man the relations of these two countries are on a hold for atleast 1 year (1 year is a period of sylum given to Edward).

Hope you understand that there were many of the whistleblowers in USA and British , but some of them accomplished and successfully made the world understand that how much important the security of every government and its people is , and Edward Snowden is one of them with Julian Assange .
