Default Why talks? why not operation?

I have never understood that Extremists are killing our civilians and Pak Army since years, and we are still going for the peace talks with them rather military operation.

And amazingly, all the parties who got the mendate, happily supported APC objective of peace talks with Taliban. Why did not the single Party opposed it? and said that Our nation is being killed and you are sitting here thinking to compromise with them, wanted to forgive all of them?

Remember general Musharaf had done the successfully operation in Swat, when it was completely under Taliban's control.

Why can't we do it now?

In Anticipation of bit contribution from members.
