Conflict of Palestine
We feel for the people of Palestine, and condemn the state of Israel for colonizing and bombing the innocent Palestinians. We ought to feel the same for Iraq, Syria, Somalia and other oppressed nations. But what is this romance of ours with Palestine, that we would let go all the atrocities committed on our own people. Who is pulling the strings here; who orchestrates these selective sympathy campaigns at the cost of lack-of-sympathy for our people ?? Is North-Waziristan with its ongoing war and displacement of thousands not a Palestine !!!! Again, prayers and support for Palestine, but clear thought and the sense of prioritizing the issues is harshly lacking in this land of the pure. Perhaps, that is why Pakistanis revel watching others playing football, but would not bother to know if there is any football team of Pakistan. Yes, their is a team and also a football association, but like Waziristan, they ain't attractive enough.
