Default Challenges and Solutions

Afghanistan, after 13years war-ravaged regime of Karzai, has been blessed with a new government (unity) with many inevitable challenges. A country which has been plunged into dreadful days since the post-9/11, needs to be stable now with a newly-elected govt. The US failed to bring peace and impart stability in the country despite spent approx $650 billion to eliminate the menace of terror and stable the country which has been facing Taliban's hegemony.
The Newly-elected government, after rigged elections and dispute over the presidency chair, has to face some serious challenges to push the country towards stability and development. The government has been divided into a power-sharing formula rendered by the US, Ashraf Ghani with an office of presidency and Abdullah Abdullah with Chief Executive (the first time ever the authority given to any candidate). It is the US which persuaded both to share the power envisaged in the Afghan constitution. Despite US failure to stabilize the country in 13 years, it has been succeeded to resolve the dispute of election rigging.

CHALLENGES
1. The first challenge the new govt would face is to strengthen its internal security, and to negotiate with the insurgent groups. The security forces the US failed to train them and make them capable enough to confront the Al-Qaeda led groups.
2. The second challenge is to build the country's own economy. It is still dependent on foreign capital and debts. The ongoing proxy settings by its neighboring countries has also collapsed its economy drastically.
3. The third challenge is to develop infrastructure and political institutions of the country. The barren and desolate places of the country are also needed to be altered into schools, colleges, office buildings and state institutions.

SOLUTIONS
1. The security forces are needed to be modernized and well-equipped with arms and ammunition. The left over US and Nato troops (Approx 10,000) can still make Afghan National Army (ANA) and other security forces capable to counter the future threats posed by the insurgent groups. The security forces ought to adhere to the govt's initiatives
2. The countries accessible to Afghanistan (Pakistan, India, China, Tajikistan and Iran) must come forth to tackle the economy and be vigilant to the realignments of the insurgent groups supervising through the region. Pakistan also needs to initiate the join economic ventures which will benefit both the countries. It also needs to cut the supply lines of the terrorist networks and expand its trade and communication routes. Iran and China can render their economic efforts to make the Afghan economy dependent on itself
3. Political institutions and infrastructure can be developed by the existence of US in the country. The US can help the Afghan govt in building the new political and educational institutions and with the help of other South Asian countries.
4. The Pashtun tradition in Both Pakistan and Afghanistan can also be a source of closer ties between the civilians by communication.

If the above solutions are implemented to tackle the challenges, It can make the war-torn Afghanistan prosper which would be better for the whole region.
Both Pakistan and Afghanistan are also supposed to expand their trading ties by preventing the movements of the insurgents from the border and making the Durand Line more restricted. It would benefit both the countries' interest.
