Read analytically "Dawn News"' daily, and Jahangir World Times current affair magazines, then separate the topics like, topics related to governance, energy crises, security and international relations of Pakistan with India, China, USA & Afghanistan etc. Then attach cuttings of relevant opinions and columns and articles in that particular folder. Then after 2 to 3 months you will have enough data for analysis. Then make your own notes and short essays on this topics. Try analytic approach in writing.

First choose the "HOT" topics which you think of prime importance, than collect relevant material regarding it and read DAWN daily to keep in touch with day-to-day happenings

there is n specified method. all you have to do is to develop a sound knowledge of current affairs and obviously the two sources which can help you more than any thing else are dawn daily and JWT.
