In my view these are the important topics for CSS-16 examination

CPEC
National Action Plan
Electoral reforms
Iran-US Nuclear Deal
Arab Spring
China uprise
Greek economic crisis
new alliances Pak-China and India-US

please add more topics in the list which you think should be prepared

I am not full aware of the recent updated syllabus but keeping in view the last two year paper pattern, focus large on National Issues. I do not think so Greek crisis is an important topic to be prepared if you are going t do it selectively.
Another topic you can prepare is regarding flood and Disaster Management.
Read Munir Akram articles from Dawn of last Sunday and the last month. They will help you very much for topics regarding Global Power Shift.

i think mega corruption scandals like Nandi pur power plant and quaid e azam solar park as well as NAB working early this month and the last. and rangers operation in karachi under national action plan can be asked. internationally 70th session of UN last month is also of heavy consideration.

Pak relations with US, Tureky, Iran, Saudi and Russia
National Security Concerns
Global Warming, Climate Change, MDGs recent reports
Population problem with respect to World and Pak being the 6th most populous country, social evils; implications and exclusive suggestions.
Global Energy Problems
South Aisa being tiger of the world in economy on account of CPEC
Kashmir Issue
Modi Sarkar; its polices towards Pak and implications on whole sub-continent
Recent MOs, investments, economic indicators, FDI, and Pakistan's economy being a developing boom
