[B]PAK CHINA RELATIONS[/B] :)

China and Pakistan are "good all weather friends" and there is existence of mutual support and cooperation between both the countries .The closed friendly relations that have stood the test of time over the years have gained greater strength and vitality despite the great changes which have taken place on the international and regional scene. They have also remained unaffected by domestic changes. This is because that the friendship between the two countries is based on respect for the principles of the UN Charter and the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence. It is underpinned by mutual trust and confidence and has been nurtured and enriched by frequent high-level contacts. Both sides have a common interest in the peace and stability of South Asia and have been working together in the pursuit of this objective. They oppose international and regional hegemony and have been striving for a just international political and economic order. Pakistan and China consult each other regularly on international and regional issues and cooperate closely in international forums. It is always hoped that the relations between the two countries will continue to flourish and strengthen further especially in the new century.

During the past 50 years, Pakistan and China have developed an all-round partnership which embraces cooperation in the political, defense, economic, commercial, cultural and other fields. This partnership has been constantly growing in strength over the years and has made a positive contribution to peace and stability in South Asia.

[B]CHINA AS AN EXAMPLE:[/B]

The salient features of Chinese policies are a model for Pakistan.The structure of regional and global development ,the well thought policy of economic liberalization as well as a successful diplomacy all these features ,if followed can make Pakistan a stronger and a far more better nation.

For this very reason both the countries have launched mutual programs of economic and technological development which surely pave the way for the brighter Pakistan.Not only this China has always helped Pakistan in the foreign trade investment and because of its contributions and technical assistance Pakistan has started major projects of social and economic development.

The large Chinese market with its high population and growing prosperity provides one of teh largest market of the future and Pakistan must respond to the opportunities that arise.

[B]REGIONAL POLITICAL UNDERSTANDING:[/B]

China being a Pakistan's big brother has also always assisted it in the promotion of regional peace,security and mutual understanding with other countries of the region.China has always been there whenever Pakistan required help regarding its concerns associated with the age old rivalry with India.China has always strongly supported the regional peace issues and has always stressed on the arrangement of mutual dialogue between India and Pakistan over the issue of Kashmir.

[B]NEW PHASE OF TIES WITH CHINA:[/B]

Recently the official visit of Chinese Premiere Wen Jibao to Pakistan has raised the all weather Sino Pakistan friendship to new heights and made it more relevant to their individual and joint concerns.The visit laid stress on the strengthening economic cooperation.The bilateral trade expansion has been emphasized .22 agreements have been signed for specific cooperation in sectors ranging from agriculture,information technology and education to energy and investment.

[B]CONCLUSION:[/B]
The friendship between Pakistan and China is a cornerstone of our foreign policy and serve the interest of teh two nations but also of the entire region.It is a friendship which is not directed against any country but contributes to the peace and stability in Asia and the world.
