Concept of globalisation
World is marching towards tewenty ist century with new hopes and aspirations. In these hopes there is no any place for terrorism, poverty, hunger, illetracy, unemployment,in lflation and each and every individual will properly provided food and shelter.Where each and every African will be able to prepare in the morning not for labour but for education.Where every Asian will be able to have its own home and shelter.North Americans becomes free from anti-semitism and recism. But these are dreams, which did not achieved yet.
Economy of world has been changed dramatically, specialy after the end of second world war and cold war between two super powers. Now each developed nation is striving to hold the resources of under-developed countries specially Americans and Eureapeans. This is not a game of prestige and prosperity but it is the game of BALANCE OF POWER b/w the nations. The world is becoming more globalized, there is no doubt about that. While that sounds promising, the current form of globalization, neoliberalism, free trade and open markets are coming under much criticism. The interests of powerful nations and corporations are shaping the terms of world trade. In democratic countries, they are shaping and affecting the ability of elected leaders to make decisions in the interests of their people. Elsewhere they are promoting narrow political discourse and even supporting dictatorships and the “stability” that it brings for their interests. This is to the detriment of most people in the world, while increasingly fewer people in proportion are prospering. Political and Economical liberalsim is just a dream not a truth.World Trade Organisation was set-up to boost up the free trade but WTO only boost-up the trade of developed nations specially G-8 countries.Underdeveloped countires becomes more frustrated from thier policies. Now they start trade restrictions over these countries.Increase the tarrif walls and decrease the Export of these countries which also includes Pakistan.Protectionism is often referred to as being a barrier to free trade. The word seems to conjure up negative images of isolationism and subsidizing industries that could otherwise not compete fairly against others. "IF THEY THINK THAT THEY OBEY US WE WILL GIVEN THEM A PROFIT,IF NOT THEN WE WILL GIVEN THEM NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN THE FORM OF BALLISTIC AND GUIDED MISSILES" With best regards JAVED |

I have to agree with you on this point, but there is also a positive side to the 2nd and 3rd world countries. Thousands of people in the US and other developed countries loose their jobs because car manufacturing and technology support sectors of economy are moving to Mexico or India or other Asian countries, where environmental laws are non-existent and labor is a lot cheaper. The good part is a lot of the aspiring, well educated people in those countries, even though they are paid a lot less by european standards, can find a job and live a decent life in their country. The sad part is, that people in the 1st world countries are becoming unemployed.
it would be for the best, if all borders were open and free flow of goods and people was allowed. |
