If we look back at last 60 years, the question arises, what Pakistan as a nation state has achieved so far? More than half a century after independence, the conditions of Pakistan are more miserable than they were at the time of partition. There are countless failures of independence.
The litany of failures includes the inability to have a functional parliamentary system, failure either to sustain economic development or meaningful redistribution of wealth to the impoverished masses.
Since the inception of the electoral results of 2013 most of the political parties, having representation in the Assemblies and those left out, have been raising questions and doubts about the outcome of the results. There have been serious allegations against PMLN, the Chief Justice (since retired) Iftikhar Ahmed Chaudhry and electoral functionaries. TIP of Imran Khan has been vociferous since the beginning and has led a concerted campaign, while conceding that no matter the outcome was sham but he opted for continuity of democratic process.
The Azadi March, also called Tsunami march,[7] (Urdu: آزادی مارچ‎; lit. Freedom march) was the largest public protest march that ever held in Pakistan began on 14 August 2014 to 17 December 2014. Organised by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, over the claims of his governmental manipulations in the 2013 general election.
Purposes of Azadi MarchIn beginning, the Purposes of Azadi March were to reform the election system but after the refusal of Government to open the 4 constituency results, imran khan directly demanded the resign of Prime Minister and all the members of Election commission because according to him rigged mandate was better to be replaced by a lawful one.
Beside these demands main demands are:

• Punishment for investigated criminals

• Replace the rigged mandate by a lawful one.

• To end the Nawaz Government.
When Imran khan announced his plane the leader of awami tehreek Tahir-ul-qadri also announced such type of protest march
