Post My Preparation Strategy for CE-2016 (English Precis and Composition)

All of you already know that FPSC has announced change in syllabus for CE-2016. So, keeping in mind the present scenario, i have made my preparation strategy.

Here we go:

PHASE 1

Challenge: Preparation of 12 subjects for CSS
Time Frame: 6 months (01 May 2015 to 31 October 2015)
Strategy: One subject at a time with Essay and English (Precis and Composition), as both these subjects need a lot of practice so i want to give them more time to put an extra effort. So both these subjects will be covered in 6 months.

Plan for English (Precis and Composition)

This subject can be divided into two parts.
Part 1. Questions which can be covered without a teacher
Part 2. Questions for which a teacher is required.

Part 1.

Time Frame: 01 May to 31 October
Following are the questions which can be prepared without a teacher.
1. Pair of Words (10)
2. Grouping of Words (10)
3. Sentence Correction (10)
4. Grammar and Vocabulary (20)

1. Pair of Words (10)

Course: 5 per day
Source: Exploring the world of English + Past Papers

2. Grouping of Words (10)
Strong Vocabulary is required for this question. therefore,

Course: 15 words per day
Source: Barron's GRE word list + words from Dawn

3. Sentence Correction (10)

Time Allocation: 30 Minutes per day
Source: 1. To the Point for B.A by Aftab Ahmad 2. High School English Grammar 3. Exploring the world of English
[Note]: Move systematically, first prepare from to the point then High school English grammar and finally to the Exploring the world of English.

4. Grammar and Vocabulary
(20)

Synonym and Antonym will be covered in Question 2. Correct usage of tenses will be covered in Question 3.
Time Allocation: 30 minutes per day
Source: High School English Grammar + Exploring the world of English

Note: i will upload the study plan of Part 2 along with time frame in this thread and the study plan of each subject (Complusory + My optionals) in the relevant forums of subjects.

Best of luck.

First phase of preparation will end in October.
I have a problem that i have to repeat my preparation of exams 3 to 4 times to get my satisfaction and as well as good marks.
So i have to complete my preparation in October so that i can have enough time to repeat .

To be honest, i am in a limbo now a days after the change in syllabus. But i am working on it. i will surely suggest some books after comprehensive study of new syllabus and available content in market for this syllabus.
But for now do study Dawn for current affairs.

i would suggest To the point grammar and composition if you are a beginner. I found it very helpful and it is very easy to understand in the beginning. After that move to the High School English Grammar by wren and Martin.
Do solve the practice exercises given in these books. Practice plays the key role in Sentence correction. After reading all the rules of sentence correction, practice solving questions of Past papers. it surely will help you.
