watch silicon valley, game of thrones and listen to eminem and other english films. books are not preferred.

For improving: You can read DAWN, watch english news channels, movies etc and speak to your family/friends in English.

For level required to pass CSS: Even if you have perfect english, there is no guarantee that you will pass, it depends on the target paper and your luck. In 2015, essay was hit hard, but chances are that in 2016 essay will be easy to pass and precis paper will be hit hard, this is the pattern observed by many people not just me.

Those who used flowery language, failed essay paper. Do no cram words to build a vocabulary, rather try to be more creative and original in your writings. Practice as much as you can and get it checked by a CSP, or CSS qualifier, or a quality English teacher.

Default without attempting comprehension 35score in English
seniors I have scored 35 marks without attempting comprehension question in my first attempt2015... ia m much expected. therefore, reason to fail is that i failed in time management during paper in exame hall.

Listening English has improved my language. You can listen TED talks. These are not only knowledgeable but also helpful for improving English.

  • get your act together
  • use oxford dictionary of idioms
  • you will bet your bottom dollar that how many beans make five
  • say boo to goose in approach and dont bat and eyelid to anyone
  • you will go with bang in exam
