Please guide me how to write effectively
 

I seek help from the most senior members who have perfect command over English. I have been preparing for ce 16 since december last but english still poses a great threat to my success. The main issue is that I lack maturity in my expression. I feel, and some members of this forum in my previous posts made me realise, that my style or way of expressing my ideas is not upto the mark. Despite of cramming hundreds of new words from GRE I am still unable to write qualitative English. One of the members of this forum has even said that you write just like a school boy. But when I appoached a teacher putting a question before him that qualifiers say that you should write simple english then what's bad in my style of expression isn't it simple enough, he argued that your english is not bad you need not to add impressive vocabulary. Another senior teacher opines that one should use figurative words for effective writing.
Now you honorable members are requested to please guide me how to write effectively. Please note that all my education ,from primary to the masters is in urdu and that too from govt. institutes so solving all theoritical papers in english will be my first experience that's why I am very upset.

Effective writing skills are to a writer what petrol is to a car. Like the petrol and car relationship, without solid skills writers cannot move ahead. These skills don’t come overnight, and they require patience and determination. You have to work smart and hard to acquire them. Only with experience, you can enter the realm of effective, always-in-demand writers.
Of course, effective writing requires a good command of the language in which you write or want to write. Once you have that command, you need to learn some tips and tricks so that you can have an edge over others in this hard-to-succeed world of writers. There are some gifted writers, granted. But gifted writers also need to polish their skills frequently in order to stay ahead of competition and earn their livelihood.
My Advice For u that take assistance from the internet..There are so many websites that are full of treasury of tips of how to write effective english.....As the writing is the mirror of the mind so read , read and read and write , write and write as u can.....!!:))

you should also learn SAT word list. ..that will be also helpful for you ..

Yes no doubt effective and qualitative writing demands a mastery over English in all facets, your skill set needs to be upto the mark so that you can effectively express your thoughts onto the paper.

Having said that, it isn't mandatory for a CSS aspirant to obsess with learning English at the highest level thereby indulging in cramming every word there is to know because at the end its not enough, which will only lead to disappointment and further denting your motivation.

What's more of pivotal important is to write grammatically correct statements because they're equally effective. Its not obligatory to write complex statements in order to express your opinions, sometimes simple to the point correct sentences are enough to reflect your thought processes and convince the examiner because in the end that's what counts the most in Central Exam.

Just remember 50 odd grammatical mistakes can cost you essay paper irrespective of the content you worked so hard to write. Therefore it is necessary to focus on your grammar and precise to make your expression simple yet effective and don't worry about the rest.
