Default Request before English Grammar Champions to clear a confusing sentence

In second Semester, I attempted full paper of Discrete Math accurately but I am given D Grade (54/100 marks only).

Sir in the underlined sentence main clause is bearing past indefinite and the use of am given in 2nd clause is correct or incorrect.

Both of them are correct. It depends upon the time when you are saying it.
For instance, you attempted paper in the past and result is announced currently, then you'll use "am". On the other hand, if result is announced in the past and you are saying it presently, you'll use "was".

Default Thanks and Prayers to Naveed Bhai

Naveed Bhai many thanks and prayers for your kind reply. Traditional grammar cocepts are the resultant of such confusions. It's taught as a hard and fast rule that if the principal clause is in past then subordinate clause would also be in past. But I have been noticing this contrast on many pieces of writing that you cleared today, thanks again, Allah k sapurad.
