I have heard that in Precis and composition paper if you have not attempted precis and composition well, they will fail you no matter how good your rest of paper is. Is it true? If person has got very good paper besides these questions, still they fail u. I don't understand the Logic.

I have heard that too... That if one passes precis he passes the paper... I dnt think thats very true because a friend of mine did precis in first person but he/she still managed to pass paper... Having said that...work hard on your precis...dont irritate the examiner by writing a bad one...you never know what sort of examiner is marking your paper

Yeah but what is one performs other things pretty well. Those are fixed marks. How can he fail you then. It's not possible

This is a rare case I am hearing, one wrote in 1st person and cleared ! wowwww, I must say he/she is lucky

I know i was pretty sure too its a deadly mistake and will cost attempt

Now thats a question on transparency of paper checkers... No one can be sure about it... May be they are actually biased may be they are not... But endnote here will also be that dont look for relaxations and work on your precis so that you can pass that question too. If you are giving css attempt dont possibly risk it after a precis question

We cannot deny the importance of precis and composition part, but as we have heard that a person made it by attempting precis in 1st person, we cannot say anything now.
Definitely, your point is weighty as well when it comes to synonyms, antonyms, grammar part.
Moreover, one must concentrate on precis, composition since not everyone is lucky !

Yes I don't believe this. But here is what I think.
Actually other questions like sentence correction, idioms, pairs etc do not fetch you good marks. So You have to attempt precis and composition in best manner to pass the paper.

This question seems to me totally useless. If you read the question paper of Precis and Composition well, you will see on the right hand of side of the paper; marks are clearly written for each question. The marks for Precis writing question were previously 25 and now are probably 22, the rest of marks are clearly mentioned for other questions. So it is the question of common sense, how an examiner can flunk you because of only one question for not attempting well or even for not attempting this question??? What about the rest of 78 marks??? If you attempt the rest of questions excellently, the examiner can not flunk you in any way, he doesn't have any right to flunk your paper. And even you have the right to file a petition against him if you know very well that your rest of questions are correct. If you are sure about them, no one can fail you. One question can not decide the fate of the whole of paper. These are only rumours; don't concentrate on them. Only focus on your studies. But yes, it is a good thing that you should attempt all questions in a better way. You will be awarded higher marks than the rest of students.
