Default Seniors, I request, tell me if I can clear Precis & Comp. with these mistakes!

So, I am not being to able to sleep because of my continuous flirtation with the errors that I made in Precis exam. Every passing day, as the result week draws closer, I am becoming excessively impatient, thinking only and only about my Precis exam.

So, following are the errors that I made:

1. My Precis title was not up to the mark. It was something like “Weather and Human Beings.”
2. I did my Precis in last half hour. My command of English language is good. I tried my best to deliver the most suitable Precis, of course. But I am not sure if I could pull it.
3. I translated “saqafat” and “sufi” as “civilization” and “ascetic” - which again I think is wrong. The right would be “culture” and “mystic”.
4. Almost 11 of my objective part questions were right.

The rest of my paper was fairly better.

Now my question is: Can a candidate with a bad Precis go on to pass the exam? Do you know of anyone who believed that he or she would fail a particular exam but went on to clear it?

I will be absolutely thankful if somebody answer my abov questions.

Asalam-o-Alikum!

First of all, do not worry about feeling anxious and paranoid about the result. It is human nature to get some worries in days like these. Believe me even topper of this year is having same thoughts.

Further, as I observed from your post, your English expression is excellent.
It is English not Mathematics where we have one fix answer. So, do not worry about your title. Examiner will give you at least 3.5 to 4 marks in title.

30 minutes is enough time for precis writing. No body, even best of us, take more than 45 minutes in doing precis.

Do not worry about translating words in precis as we have different words for one thing/concept.

Yes one can pass precis paper even having zero marks in precis question. It is just one part of precis paper. Examiner will never judge you on just one question.

You did 11 correct MCQs. That is excellent job. This is your strongest point.

I am sure you will crack English Precis along with eleven other papers.

Stay strong! try being busy in some work do not take the result stress as it brings nothing but more stress.

Stay blessed.

I cannot thank you enough for this coherent answer. You’re such a positive human. If I clear my Precis exam, I am going to find you, and bring for you a big bucket of sweets. ☺️
