Essay length

Can anyone tell me the number of words required to write an ideal essay?

Normally it depends upon the way you tackle and cover the topic. If one is able to cover the topic clearly in 1200 words it may be enough for you to ace the paper. But if one write 1800 words and lacks coherence of thought and knowledge about the topic then failure might come at one's door step.

You can check past papers. 2500 to 3000 words are required. And you must aim for atleast 2500. Though,I have seen people passing with 2000 words approx. Main focus should be on quality rather than quantity.becssue at the end it's all what matters. But still your essay must not be too short or too long.

Bro you must see past papers and must know things before posting anything like this. He will fail for sure by writing essay having 1200 words. Maybe you are talking about essay of any other exam. But it's not a right answer for CSS essay paper.
Hope you understand. Because if any single person gets misguided from your post then you will be responsible for his failure too.

An ideal essay contains 2500 words. If you end it in less than 2500 words, it is totally fine if you have explained the topic well and your idea is delivered.

Actually i am quoting a deputy commissioner of IRS. He passed it with approximately 1200 words. But, anyways, dont take the meaning of my literature literally, please take it metaphorically.

No problems brother. That's good that you have clarified your comments.
But I stick to this thing that even if that DC has said it .Still,it's not recommended and it's not good to write just 1200 words. Maybe , 99 percent of people will be having same opinion, that anyone with this much length of essay cannot pass.
I am sorry brother ,if I sounded rude or offensive. But that was because people do get misguided sometimes by these things. Hope you understand.
And sometimes, we don't get an idea that how much words we wrote in paper. One of my friends. He passed essay and after paper he was saying that he wrote 1600 words. But after some time, after calculating his sheets and word count on every sheet , he realized that he actually wrote 2300 to 2400 words. So, it's normal if that DC said this thing. Maybe he has got some confusion regarding this matter.
