@brother sam
3.Someone showed the visitors in the room.
Someone showed the visitors into the room.
brother Sam the corrections u have suggested for no:3 are absolutely correct, but they r being achieved by changing the meaning inwhich the original sentence has been stated, which at best v should try to avoid. Though, when its unavoidable, we could use ur correction. But in this case, by just changing the preposition the sentence is corrected so why change the meaning of sentence. Showing somebody into a room means bringing someone inside a room to b seated. like showing guests into a drawing room.

Default show into

There is one more possibility:
transitive verb guide somebody: to guide or accompany somebody • Show them to the office.

Ref: Encarta® World English Dictionary © & (P) 1999 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Developed for Microsoft by Bloomsbury Publishing Plc.

According to this our correction could be:
Someone showed the visitors to the room.

Personally, I've never seen "show" with "into". Have you guys looked it up in a dictionary?

By the way, it seems that you people do have a problem with my "Barging in!", as Mr THE 1 said.

aoa,
i agree with this other possibility u have suggested. no i didnt look it up anywhere. but i think this possibility is the right answer. i've seen 'show' with 'into' loads of times so maybe that is correct too. but u've got a verification from a dictionary, which is more reliable. so ill go with this possibility.
and i think its a good thing we are discussing things here and learning something. i dont agree with "us having a problem with u barging in".
im sure the1 bhai only meant it in the sense of "u coming to our rescue" or something. he definitely didnt mean to offend u, as he has clarified too.
really brother sam, the way u react gives me second thoughts about participating in a discussion or voicing my opinion regarding any confusion in future. we r all here to learn. it doesnt matter if we correct each other or suggest something. i think u were really helpful and knowledgeable about the concerned topic. u have great command over english grammar which is impressive. hope ur not offended anymore

THE 1 will become famous soon enough
Arrow sorry, i've been outta touch for a while

@ Sam:
Bro, i said it in a playful manner, as Saania has perceived, i meant coming in to our rescue at the time of need.

The more i read through the sentence, the more correct it seemed. Finally we have the solutions to these sentences. How about v move on?

@Saania:
Your contribution is highly appreciated... Carry on please. I'll post the next exercise soon insha'ALLAH. btw, thanx for clarifyin my stance. P.S., avoid calling me Bhai, a request.

Regards,

THE 1
