English Teacher in Karachi for CSS preparation

I want to know the best english teacher in Karachi,for css prepration..plz seniors suggest me any.waiting for your reply.thanks in advance

You are prepare best if you dont rely on anyone in a subject like English.... Later on, when you have got some grip on the subject, you can use the services of an english teacher to point out your short comings!

One of my friends suggested me to meet sir Ram for preparation of English Essay Writing. Sir Ram is very strict on the matter of money. He believes that Money Hai Tu Honey Hai. He demanded 4200 Rupees/Month.And, he offers five days classes in a week of one hour...Because of lack of financial resources i could not join him.In spite of observing my incapability to bear the amount for my studies, he didn't even discounted.Lastly, according to my friend he is a good teacher of english and one should prepare for the subject under his assistance, if one can bear the amount. Bro can you please tell me the teaching method of Ram chand.

I mean that there are many teachers who have their own material and they firstly read passage from their prepared notes and simply dictate whats written there.

On the other hand there are teacher say that student should make effort and then he would check.

Please clarify and if there is any student who have already studied from sir ram chand then share your experience please.

a well experienced english teacher is required.A person who can check English Essay and precis.I have been searching in Karachi english teacher since man weeks but could nt fid it..Hope me this forum will help me in searching English teacher..

I asked same question before few weeks and I am highly thankful to Mr. Andrew (One of the Moderators) who helped me in this regard. Sir Raam Chand is my teacher now, and he is one of the best teachers for the preparation of English Subject for css exam.

He will take your test first so that he can understand your level. After checking your level he will suggest you to purchase books. He will tell you the names of books and their authors. He can then ask you to start from tenses or sentence correction etc, will depend on your level.

Moreover, he will not force you to follow his pattern. You can also ask him that you are week in Essay and you just want him (Sir) to teach you essay. His purpose is to make you satisfied. If you say that you are perfect in tenses he will then not say you to start from it.

In my case, I told him that Sir, I would like to follow your pattern even if it takes a year. I want to make myself perfect in written English.

As far as above discussion is concerned ;there is only Ram chand who teaches English.However,when the same Qs was asked from Lahorian there was list of teachers given.

I suffered from his teaching.he is a greedy person.just ask him how much CSPs were his students in last three years.

Dear Friends! I guess you refer to Sir Muhammad Yousif in Gulshan, Mubeena Town. For your kind information, he is one of the best teachers in Pakistan for English beyond CSS examination even. I personally know many students of him who qualified CSS. Should i mention their names here? Calling him a greedy person is not desirable. He just demands for his services and if it affronts you, you should go with other options. Defaming a teacher is a brazen act. Further, Professor Ram Chand has become very selective in terms of choosing students. There is also a very good teacher living at Tarique road. He provides paper oriented services only and he has made his name in this field since long. I forget his name right now, but would make it out tomorrow along with his number.

yup i visited uqaips! it dint attract me much! cuz the teachers there r good but therez a difference bw good n excellent! knowledge speaks itself. i wud advice to visit csa once n u will knw wot m talkin abt =)

I am sorry, I was wrong. Sir Raamchad is not a good teacher. I was required not to post any comments before making sure that he is a good teacher. I am sorry friends. He might be a good teacher for students of matric and intermediate but not for css studets. Moreover, he will always try to waste your time so that he can earn money. So, matric/intermediate students should only join him when they have much time and money to spend.

Hmmm... I was also thinking to go to Sir Ram Chand, but now afte reading you post, i m confused that what to do? Can you please elaborate the problems you saw? And if not Ram Chand then from whee should we prepare english?

Apart from greedness, what I noticed that he does not want to share anything with new students. He will not even tell the names of books to new studets, which he recommendes. He will tell you the name of one or two books initially. He would like to retain students for longer time so that he can earn maximum money from them. But it was not an issue the issue was wastage of time which I can not bear. I tried to ask him the names of all books in order to avoid the frequent visits of Urdu Bazar. But he did not tell me.

Then he has made few notes from those books which he recommendes like let me tell you that:

Current English Intermediate Part I and Part II (by Sir Mumtaz, Punjab Boarad, Urdu Bazar Lahore) are the two books from where he has made his all sentence correction notes. You can easily cover sentence correction of css exam by going through these books. I have even checked past papers of css. Many questions were same in css papers which I also noticed in these books. There are 30 exercises of sentence corrections in Curret Eglish Part II book. You must go through it. You can ask me answer of any correction.

Then, Efzal Anware mufti's book Direct & Indirect (Urdu Bazar Lahore) is good enough for the preparation of Narration of css exams.

Then, Rabia Series, Art of precis writing is excellet book for the preparation of Precis writing.

Then, Syndery reflection is a good book for expansion of ideas.

He did not tell me the names of these books. I asked from his senior students.

Moreover, he teaches 10-12 students in one session individually. He used to ask that make this thing from that book but when we had to show the work he was not available. One can not give 2-3 minutes twice or maximum thrice if he wants to teach 10-12 studets in one session.

I can assure you friends that you can easily get good marks in English subject by going through these books. You can ask me for any further help. I have also started self preparation now.

Sorry for replying late as I was in Lahore. I will soon start teaching English to CSS students InshAllah. I will leave my comments here as soon as I start.
