i laud your effort dear, brevity which is the linchpin of precis writing is found in your extract, BUT one piece of advice i would like to give you:
before attempting a question in Composition, we must know what the objectives of examiner are, so that we incorporate the desired things...for example the objective of precis writing is to evaluate te ability of the candidate to handle and understand difficult writings of philosophers or other difficult English expressions etc not the ability of using difficult and high sounding words or overall knowledge of English as language...so you must remain watchful about your word selection...use simple plain words and you will get the well job done insha Allah.....overall your effort is highly commendable and i have strong feelings you would thrive in competitive exam surely God Willing...

First of all you need to study Saadat Ali,s book for grammar. Secondly, A.B Jasra is a good book in which precis' of past papers have been solved, it would give you better idea how to write and manage precis. Third, after going through these books you must make precis of Editorial of dawn on daily basis. It would overcome your precis problem and phobia.
