Human nature is complex. The interests of individuals vary from person to person and from state to state. Modern world is composed of different cultures, religions, ethnicity's and ideologies which often does not commensurate with each other. All these factors led to difference of opinion and conflict of interest both within a particular group and among competing groups. Since, time immemorial these conflicts have resulted into numerous wars causing huge bloodshed. The best way to save our succeeding generations from the scourge of war is to believe and practice, principle of "agree to disagree peacefully". We must understand that every individual and group has separate existence and therefore, they have an independent perspective on things. The policy of overpowering with force another group of conflicting thoughts has posed overarching trouble. We must, at once, shun this policy of overpowering our rival. We need to solve our disputes and conflicts through peaceful means. It is true that all problems between the struggling groups can never be settled. Therefore, we have to respect and tolerate other's thoughts, believes and customs. For example, neither a Muslim nor a Hindu would agree with another's religious teachings, but both of them must find a way to a peaceful mutual co-existence. This can happen if they foster friendly relations on the points they concurred and find a peaceful settlement on the points they conflict. England and France, for instance, had fought wars for centuries, but when they started to respect other's existence, the economy of both countries has flourished and their people have prospered. Therefore, this world can become more safer, peaceful and better place to live if we agree to disagree in an agreeable way.
