A suspicious parent makes an artful child.
According to Challenge Response theory, response of humans depends upon the circumstances they are faced with. The tougher the circumstances are, the smarter the response is. Suspicious parent, who doubt the authenticity and validity of their children’s actions and thoughts, challenge their mental genius to come up with an alternative better than the previous one. The response of the child may be acceptable to majority of the parents but suspicious parents want their children to go an extra mile and come up with a solution acceptable under all circumstances. Indeed they evaluate and want their children to think and act in the manner they themselves will do under similar circumstances.
This high expectation of the parents make children think and act smartly. The constant practice of meeting the high standard criteria their parents have set in for them polishes their analytical and critical approach. It is just like O, A-Level students who normally have better analytical and critical approach towards things when compared with the majority of the students who acquire education under our educational system. Their course content, teaching methodology, and examination pattern are set in such a manner as to enable students to think analytically and critically.
Once this approach has developed in children in early age, it not only helps them to be at ease with their parents but also teaches them the art to survive under extraordinary circumstances. They develop a habit of evaluating all possible solution to a given situation and come up with the best available option. Unintentionally, suspicious parent impart a valuable education to their children which helps them throughout their life.
